How to extract tf2 maps into SFM
First of all, I have watched Retro' tutorial on the matter, which I have successfully extracted the cosmetics and such, but no new maps were extracted such as powerhouse, snowycoast, highpass, etc. If anyone can tell how to extract maps such as the ones I listed, using GCFscape, would be appreciated.

look in the TF2 Map folder, see the BSP Files, Pull those into a SFM Map Folder. Load a map and press rescan if you didn't reopen SFM. Your maps should be there. Whether they work or not is a different question.

As Pte Jack says, the maps are loose files stored in -/Team Fortress 2/tf/maps. So open up GCFScape, click "File" > "Open", type "*.bsp" in the file-name thing and hit Enter, navigate to the folder I mentioned before, select a map, copy it, navigate to an appropriate folder in Source FilmMaker, paste it, go back, copy another map, go forth, paste that, and repeat that until you have copied all the maps. Alternatively, you can use File Explorer or something else that allows you to select multiple files at a time, but then you won't be using GCFScape for it.

But be aware that some of the more recent maps are compressed, which Source FilmMaker doesn't support. Symptoms of a map being compressed include Source FilmMaker being unable to load the map and crashing when attempting to load it a second time. Refer to this guide to de-compress those maps:

both coaltown_event and mannhattan had some weird light effects where basicly any reflective thing will have weird colorful lighting that does not apper to come from anywhere and for mannhattan theres three particles that are constantly trying to be spawned but cant due to not existing in sfm, might be the same issue with coaltown.

Type in "mat_specular 0" to fix it.
