Not usually, once saved in the newer version backward compatibility sucked in SFM. All you can do is make a copy of the session, roll back to the available versions using the beta tab of the SFM Steam Client properties and try to load the copy. If it works, you're in, if it doesn't, then you have to use the newer version for that session.

Evesten was asking about rolling back their "save data" after having "saved" a "project". That means that they want to use an earlier version of a session, not of Source Filmmaker itself.

If you still had the session open, you could spam ctrl + z, and hope it goes back far enough to where you had it.

Otherwise, you'll need to recreate the better version.

A saved session is a saved session, unless there is a backup or auto-saved copy of the old session, the old session is gone.
This is a reason why I have 20 - 30 copies of a session. I increment my save filenames after a major change so that if I want to go back to an older session, then I just open that increment and work out from there again.
Once I have my final render, I can delete the other increments.
