Issues with custom .vmt and .vtf textures
I was able to make a custom vtf texture and vmt script but then I load it in the valve particle editor and its a missing texture.

Check Source Filmmaker's console for errors after loading the material in Source Filmmaker.

Then check Garry's Mod's console for errors after loading the material in Garry's Mod.

Unable to open console (bind is ` and it is enabled).

As far as I know (not personally using GMod that often), you will not be able to open the console while the particle editor is open. Close it first, then check for the errors.

If that fails, then actually use SFM for the job, for which we'll be able to give more accurate advice.

material "vgui/logos/dbzaura" not found.
Binding uncached material "engine/singlecolor", artificially incrementing refcount
No such variable "$DUALSEQUENCE" for material "___error"
No such variable "$DUALSEQUENCE" for material "___error"

It's that it can't find the material rather than an error in the material itself, so you've either got the filename wrong somehow, or it's not installed somewhere that Source can find it.

This should hopefully explain the problem to you. (Garry's Mod can't find the VMT file that you specified. Make sure that Garry's Mod is loading the VMT file, and that you have specified the correct material file-path/-name (relative to -/materials/) in the particle.)

It is in the materials folder

Path: Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > GarrysMod > garrysmod > materials > vgui > logos
Both the .vtf and .vmt file are in it

The path you've specified in the editor is "logos" plural, not "logo" singular, so if the file is in the logo folder, you've put the wrong file path in.

That's a typo I didn't notice. So it's not in a folder I made.

Your in a Garrysmod particle folder, not a SFM particle folder. SFM can't pull resources from folders it doesn't know about. Either add the folder paths to the SFM gameinfo.txt file or move yur particle stuff into a material folder path SFM knows about. If you're making this particle for Garrymod, go to the Garrymod discussion group and ask there.

Granted, But if he's using the SFM Particle Editor, it isn't going to find the materials in a GMod particle system (and vice versa) unless he manually changes the gameinfo.txt file to include the gmod paths.

SFM will not find the GMod folders unless he does.
