How do I get the background seen in this video?
https://youtu.be/bATXG4v12_o?t=28s

The background starts appearing at 0:28 and disappears at 0:49. Does anyone know where I can get these backgrounds for SFM?

I don't know of any backgrounds that look like that, to be honest, they were probably edited into the shots in post with video editing software like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere Pro...

For things like these it's usually best to ask the author directly, we can only guess. But with that said...

At first I would have said post editing. However, there's properly rendered transparency, best seen with the Stand's fast moving arms, so I'd be willing to bet it's simply a plane model, either physically scrolling or with an animated texture.

If that's the case, and it very well could be, then those are custom made and not something that is simply available to download as is...

As R234 said, you may want to contact the author and ask them how they did it. Most are usually fine with explaining these things when asked nicely.

Thank you. I'll make sure to ask the author directly. I thought it was something downloadable somewhere because I have seen it in a few other videos and they look basically the same.

Maybe they used a greenscreen, and altered the effects outside of SFM? Like, they could have edited it in a video editing program.

Side note— is there seriously a character in that series called Steely Dan? Omg, that's hilarious! That's the name of a really kick ass band. I'm quite fond of them. Do it Again, Kid Charlemange, Pretzel Logic, Black Cow, and Rikki Don't Lose That Number are among some of my favs. Steely Dan is also a slang for d*ldos, which is how the band got the name XD

In case if you didn't know, that video is based on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime/manga series. It's pretty well-known with so many western music references like DIO, Speedwagon, AC/DC, Queen and many more.

Nice! I was raised on that music, even though most of the jams were hits before my mother was born. What are some of your favs?

Queens, AC/DC, Gun N Roses, David Bowie, Yes and Metallica. I got interested because of my dad playing old songs on the radio when I was little.

I love those bands, especially Queen, Bowie, and AC/DC. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap was always my fav from AC/DC.
