black checkers on face, black eyes, problems with flexes? (model looks normal in hlmv)
This is how the model looks in HLMV

The flexes I made are on the right of the list, I'm not sure why there are more on the left, that don't do anything. I don't know if that means there will be problems with using My flexes? There are no underscores in the names, just Dashes -.
Here's how it looks in SFM

I used to have my models use a "Head_warp" Texture too, but I don't anymore, and it still does this glitch. Any help is appreciated!

What if you enable "Normal Mapping" in the "Render" tab in the Half-Life Model Viewer? It defaults to being off, and the issue looks to me like that you have the head material trying to load a $BumpMap texture that doesn't exist (thus causing the pink-black checkerboard texture to be used as a bump-map, resulting in the black parts of the missing texture texture making the model take in lighting from the inside rather than the outside).

You most likely have the flexes(/flex controllers) being loaded/applied twice. If you're using DMX flexes, loading the DMX file twice in the QC may cause that.

the checker face is a missing or incorrect bumpmap file. if you got black eyes i'm certain you're missing other textures too. i don't see what's wrong with the flexes. do they work in sfm? they should work like that.
