How to make a hdr lightmap?
I'm trying to use a small map I made in sfm, but everytime I load it it gives me this message

This map is missing high dynamic range (HDR) lightmaps.
The SFM requires HDR lightmaps to render properly.
You can create HDR lightmaps for you map with hammer or vrad.
See the Source Developer Wiki for more info.

I've looked at multiple tutorials already and so far none have worked

There's several possible mistakes or errors that can lead to this, including:

- Failing to set the compile to run in HDR mode
- Not having *any* lights in the map. You need at least one light, which can be incredibly faint, but no light means that Hammer cannot compile HDR lighting.
- Map leaks that prevent the correct compiling of lighting.

I recommend searching the output log for errors to see if it's flagging anything.

Im having the same problem. I've checked off the HDR mode and included a light, but its still showing the error. I would like to know what you mean by map leaks

Map leaks are when there's a gap that exposes the void beyond a map.
