SFM keeps on crashing when I have Scrap Baby or Molten Freddy onscreen.
The title says it all

Scraptrap is really that big of a deal (atleast I think so)

The models that I am talking about are made by EndyArts

Firstly, please provide links to the models in question. Secondly, what CPU, GPU(s), amount of RAM, and operating system does your computer have?

To (hopefully) find out the CPU, amount of RAM, and operating system, press the Windows key, search for and open "dxdiag", and let us know exactly what it says beside "Processor", "Memory", and "Operating System" in the "System" tab.

To find out the GPU(s), open the Control Panel, change the drop-down "View by" selection list to "Large icons" or "Small icons", click "Device Manager", expand the "Display Adapters" list/group, and let us know the exact names of all items in that list/group.

The CPU, amount of RAM, and operating system seem to be okay. I have not personally tested the models yet, though. But may I ask which of those GPUs Source Filmmaker is using?

To find that out for certain, click "Windows" > "Console" at the top-left of Source Filmmaker, type "clear" in the console, press Enter to execute that command (and thus clear/wipe everything in the console), type "mat_info" in the console and press Enter again, scroll up to the top, and then copy the first 10 or so lines and paste them here. Example:
ShaderAPI: shaderapidx9.dll Shader API Driver Info: Driver : nvldumd.dll Version : 861069 Driver Description : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Chipset version 4318 5058 829494370 161 Display mode : 1920 x 1080 @60Hz (BGRX8888) Vertex Shader Version : 3.0 Pixel Shader Version : 3.0

Why are you using a GTX970 driver on a GT610 card? You might want to download the proper driver if this is not correct. Was that drive pushed to you using the auto update tool on the GEForce site or did you just grab any old new driver and install it?

This says that Source Filmmaker is using the NVIDIA GPU (which it's supposed to be using, so that's good).

Does it still crash for you if you load the black_void.bsp map (which is included with Source Filmmaker by default)? And when it crashes on the map you want to use, what is the "Mem" counter at the bottom-right of Source Filmmaker at just before it crashes?

If you're talking about the "Driver Description" part of the info lists, note that I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 and posted the info example with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, while M0rg4n's info list did say NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 there. You might have looked at the wrong info list.

The mem is 1759.71 MB

also i think that it only crashed when the model are in the session for a period of time

Does it crash if you load the black_void.bsp map before playing through the session?

Although I don't imagine this is the cause of this particular issue*, I'd point out that this display doesn't actually meet the minimum resolution required for SFM.

* Although I wouldn't entirely rule it out - SFM does have a lot of weird features, including insisting on rendering in exactly the right aspect ratio.

Okay. But does it crash if you unload that map and then load black_void.bsp as the map instead?

That's a very valid point. I missed that.

Yep, still crashes.

In that case, your CPU, GPU, amount of RAM, operating system, and map being used in Source Filmmaker don't seem to the problem here. So the only thing which I can think of that may cause the crash would be the resolution, as Marco Skoll mentioned, but I don't think that that's the cause.

Looking at the comments of the workshop submission you linked to for the models, it seems like some other people are also having crashing issues with the models. I don't know why that would be, or how to fix it if it even is possible to fix, unfortunately.
