Reverb sounds
I want to reverb a sound. I already try to put a # in front of it. After I done that. No sound was playing. Why?

Did it actually work before putting the # in front of it? Is it a WAV or a MP3? Is it a stock or a custom sound?

First off, where did you get the idea that adding a hashmark in front of an audio file would make it reverberate?

I think this is an actual feature fuzzy, i haven't used it personal but I do remember that there is a special character that you add to the filename to make it echoy (like being in a cavern r an auditorium).

Hmm, first I've heard of it...
I'll have to try this out, just to see what it's all about.

Any other 'nifty little secrets' like this that I might find useful?

I remember having sound files that sounded static-y when i had a wierd character in the name...the sound itself was very annoying, and i had to change the name in order for it to work...i cant remember what the character was though.

I always thought it to be a bug or something, but it was strange how renaming it fixed it.

Its a sound of 3 seconds, WAV sound and custom sound take from youtube. I put it like all the other sounds that I got. Its probably because its not a sound from SFM

That has absolutely nothing to do with it, I have custom sounds in almost every animation I've done, and they work just fine.
More than likely, this is a mistake on your part.

Check my youtube channel if you don't believe me.
The link is on my profile page...

Depending on the kind of reverb you want and the map and such, you can try to either use the Element Viewer to place the sound within a place in the map which reverbs (although then the volume might fade out if the camera is too far away), copy and paste the sound clip multiple times with slightly different timings and decreasing volumes, or use a sound editor to import the sound, add reverb to it, and export it as a (16-bit PCM-formatted) WAV sound for Source Filmmaker.

But that disables reverbing. (Unless it was some other symbol that disabled DSP effects, though I don't see how Source would know which DSP effect to use based on the symbol, so I'm just assuming that # disables DSP effects.)
