Massive black vertical / Horizontal lines when rendering at 4K (POSTER)
So, I recently made a post about this issue, Nobody could find a fix.. it's to do with AO. When I render at 4K and this only effects some pictures, Prior to rendering I see NO black lines & it looks brilliant.. This is purely after rendering. I make NSFW pictures so I am unable to show the full image, But here is a cropped version of it. https://i.gyazo.com/372abeaa181ed520de7c41ec5fd989dc.png (This is the whole right side of the image, Well most anyway..) Turning AO off FIXES this issue. But makes the image look horrible! I've tried all settings in SSAO camera settings. Please does anyone have a fix to this? The models I am using are very high quality so I am really confused. Thanks!

What about a render where you have ambient occlusion's "Show AO" option enabled? (That won't be of much use for you as a finished product, but it might be useful for us to see.)

Somewhat faint but still there, I just don't understand what is causing this.. zzzz Really annoying.

In that case... Like last time, (probably) noone knows what to do nor what causes it.

is it a poster or image from viewport render? and... what's the exact resolution of the image? those 'glitch bars' usually appear if the aspect ratio is not accurate or the closest standard resolution to 16:9. so you gotta render exact 3840x2160. or calculate the exact 16:9 height for your custom resolution render. i rendered in 3k (3072) already and it works nice with exact ratio.

It's the poster, as I said the viewport render does NOT show these lines, It is only till after I render that I get this issue. The resolution I render at is..: 3840x2160 i.e 4K.

well then... what happens if you just export to image instead of export to poster? mmh.

adding question. rendering with "-sfm_resolution 2160" and export to image renders still just 720p. howto fix this? i got no 4k performance here to test. neithe does my monitor allow it.

is it that export image can't render bigger then the game window even if it renders internal 4k? that means the next lower then the screen's 16:9 resolution. right?

Set the session's resolution to be 3840 pixels wide and 2160 pixels tall. (Either through the Element Viewer somewhere or through File > Export > Movie.) Then you might have to reboot Source FilmMaker after saving the session and then load it up again for it to be flawless.

yeah. i did it in the element viewer, cause the movie dialoque doesn't allow it, but it crashed sfm when i tried to render the image.

i'll figure that out later. right now i don't need it. and op got it fixed somehow. ;)

That's why you should save the session and reboot Source FilmMaker.
has this problem been solved ?

In my opinion, if its POSTER its just easier to use photoshop to get out this line than solve this

Load photoshop and paint over that line to delete it :)
