There seems to be a way to import models from Blender, though I didn't read into it a lot, but if this is possible then you could use SFM models in it, after importing them into Blender and then exporting them in a format that DAZ can then use, but as for a direct import? It doesn't appear possible...
As to the maps, I don't think that is possible at all, same for the session files (.dmx).
I wasn't looking for a "direct" port, actually. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough. My mistake. No; rather, I was just trying to see if it's possible, through numerous conversions or whatever, to use SFM assets in Daz Studio. I'm prepared for A LOT of explanation and techno-babble, which is why I labeled this inquiry with [TECHNICAL].
I appreciate you trying to help though.
Like I said, I just basically "breezed" over it, so there is probably some stuff that I overlooked, but this was the impression that I got from what I read.
This is what I'm hoping. I'm hoping through conversion, I can do it. Daz just seems to have a slight better quality to renders than SFM. Only real reason I want to switch.
i expected it would be hard but i doubt if on daz studio is worthy to import files i woudl rather import from daz studio to blender blender just saw and first step of use was awsome to see the unlimited posibilites there unlike daz studio not to mention how hard it is for third party files to add there
