Does/Has Source FilmMaker ever tell/told you anything about your GPU not supporting DirectX 9 Shader Model 3 or something?

Then your computer doesn't meet the official minimum requirements for Source FilmMaker, and the GPU of it is too bad to display volumetric stuff.

But, try to hit the Windows key, search for and open "Device Manager" (or "Control Panel", from which you should open the Device Manager), expand the "Display Adapters" list/group, and let me know the exact names of all the items in that list/group. It's possible Source FilmMaker is just using the wrong GPU, but it's also possible you just don't have a good enough GPU.

If that's everything in the "Display Adapters" list, then your computer doesn't have a good enough GPU for Source FilmMaker.

No. The Intel "GPU" is not good enough for Source Filmmaker, but the NVIDIA GPU is.

Press the Windows key, and search for and open "NVIDIA Control Panel". (Alternatively, find it in Windows' normal Control Panel.)

Click "3D Settings" > "Adjust image settings with preview" on the left, then choose the "Use the advanced 3D image settings" option in the middle.

Click "3D Settings" > "Manage 3D settings" on the left, and switch to the "Program settings" tab in the middle.

Beside the first drop-down list ("Select a program to customize"), click "Add", select Source Filmmaker (sfm.exe), and click "Add Selected Program".
(If you can't find Source Filmmaker in the program-adding list, try to close the NVIDIA Control Panel, boot up and close Source Filmmaker, and try again. If you still can't find it, check the first drop-down list (the one beside the first "Add" button) and look for it there, then just select it.)

With Source Filmmaker (sfm.exe) selected in the first drop-down list, set the second drop-down list ("Select the preferred graphics processor for this program") to "High-performance NVIDIA processor".
(I think that this "second drop-down list" might have been mixed in among the many other options/settings below the first drop-down list some time ago, though I'm not quite sure.)

Lastly, click "Apply" at the bottom-right corner of the NVIDIA Control Panel, and reboot Source Filmmaker.

See my previous comment of this thread for instructions on doing that for Source Filmmaker.

everytime I go into NVIDIA ( Geforce ) control panel it says " you are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU " I Haven't done anything to the NVIDIA graphics card so I probably need to do something to activate it? IDK I have an Ibuypower computer, any help is appreciated.

Most likely your monitor is plugged in on the motherboard’s HDMI port instead of the GPU’s. Please check the connection on your CPU unit.
