New to SFM. Where can I find Models & stages?
I'm upgrading from MMD to SFM and wanted to get my collection started right, but I'm having difficulty finding models and stages that I can use. I went to deviantArt but wasn't much there to DL. I generally go for models I can use in Scary/Suspensful movies like FNAF or forest. Any help would be great.

In SFM, we called it map instead of stage.
The SFM workshop existed for a reason you know and there are more websites that share SFM models and maps out there.

Also, go to here to get started,

You won't find a lot of hits for "stages", because they're generally called "maps" in Source.

But for a list of asset sites in a roughly descending list of the order I check them usefulness:

- The SFM workshop
Because of the integration, the installation process is very simple.

- SFMLab.
Although primarily a NSFW site, that's hidden unless you log in and set it visible, and it has a lot of very useful SFW stuff too.

- Garry's Mod workshop.
If you have GMod, it's easy to transfer things. If you don't have GMod, it's well worth picking up on sale just for for access to the workshop.

Generally best for maps, vehicles and props, as GMOD characters often don't come with the same level of faceposing.

- Garrysmod.org
Worth a look at times, although many things will also be on the GMod workshop.

- GameBanana
It has various assorted Source content.

- DeviantArt.
Although generally better for looking for XNA content, (which is fairly easy to port to SFM), it's occasionally got a few SFM things.

Garry's mod has a ton, use Gmad extractor to get them into their original files, then move them into your sfm files.

It's a habit calling them stages, MMD has been my go to tool for animating, thanks for the help though, I'll need all I can get. :)
