How to Get Rigged .dae Files Converted for SFM Use
The good news is that this is the way to get Fuse characters to work now that it no longer supports rigging for Source on the official website. The bad news is that I do not know where to start and how to do this...

I have one .dae (Collada) file rigged up and its textures ready to go. Where can I go from there to make it all work out in the end?

My software so far is Blender with the source export addons and the VTFEdit.

Refer to the below guide, but know that not all sections of it are needed for what you're trying to accomplish.

I did look at it earlier, but it all sounds Greek to me... :(

In that case, look up other tutorials for it on the internet.

If it looks like geek to you, then you're not ready to do this. Go learn more about Blender and Valve modelling. This guide is as simple as it gets.
