Missing Textures with the hammer editor
So I want to use a venator map for an SFM poster, the only problem was it was too big for SFM. So I cut the map down nicely with the hammer editor to have the room I wanted and then loaded up the test mode. My only problem was that all the textures were missing (purple and black squares) besides one door and the pipes. I have no clue how to fix this! I used the map RP_Venator_ausv4 and when I loaded it up in GMOD I saw no issues with it, take if for granted I did use vmex to break it down but I don't know what went wrong! If it helps I have some pictures on my Steam profile and I have the whole clipboard. I'm going to copy and paste it farther down in this post. If you don't want to read the log, the post ends here. how does the map look in hammer? white? you tried to load the map in winrar and extract the packed/zipped content? there could be all the materials and models in there.

and just btw.
**** leaked **** Entity func_door (4048.00 -2332.00 128.00) leaked!
you have a leak in the map. and that didn't compile the full lighting.

The way I got the map to be compatible is I took the addon put it through GMAD and put it in a maps folder in SFM, took vmex to make it usable in hammer, cut out the parts I didn't need and tried loading it and that's what has happened

What does that even mean? You can't just go through and erase brushes and stuff willy-nilly. What did you erase? From your compile log you didn't caulk the map properly.

well... i gotta ask... what you meant by "too big". the hunk overflow error? you can use the console. do the r_hunkalloclightmaps 0 and the map loads in sfm. it's got no hdr tho. that's what you gotta fix. i didn't expect vmex to extract it that nicely. that worked. you just gotta use whether winrar or just plain gcfscape to extract the packed resources tho. see picture[i.imgur.com]. additive is a lil quicker vrad option. the map doesn't compile with sfm's vbsp tho. which is bad. but probably reasonable tho. it's a pretty complex mess of func details.
