How to start SFM with bad graphics card
I would like to begin animating and making SFM posters just like the majority of my friends. and every time I try to load up SFM it displays this message- Your graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements to run SFM. You need a graphics card that supports atleast DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0. If you have a system that contains both integrated and higer -end graphics, you may need to change your driver settings to enable higher -end graphics.- Does anyone have a solution easier then buying, and installing a brand new graphics card?

Even if you could find a way to make it work you wouldn't have a fun time.

The short answer is no, you will have to upgrade your video card if you want to run SFM.
If you are on a desktop, this is a very simple and quick procedure, if however, you have a laptop, you may be in for some "fun" changing the card, if you can even change it at all.
A lot of laptops use integrated graphics cards that cannot be removed and replaced, therefore forcing you to buy a whole new laptop just to get a better card...

TL;DR get a better graphic card or gaming laptop.

What happens if you hit the Windows key, then type "nvidia con"? Does "NVIDIA Control Panel" show up?

I will probably have to do that, I was trying to find an easier way cause video/graphics cards are like 1,000 dollars

The only thing that popped up was moonbase alpha files

In that case, your laptop doesn't (seem to) have any NVIDIA GPU, so I can't help with using that. It's possible your laptop may have an AMD GPU, but that's outside my area of knowledge-ness. Either way, you may want to at least see if you can update your video/graphic drivers.

Lmao. Nobody forcing you to buy two Titan X GPUs. A GTX 950 is more than enough and it costs about $100 at eBay if I remember correctly.

If your computer can't even reach the minimum requirements to run SFM you really need to upgrade your computer.

NECRO ALERT

No. Refer to SFM minimum requirement. The GPU should be 2GB minimum.

What is your exact GPU model?

yes. it's enough for 720p. but depending on the scene load and models you use, you can run out memory real quick. 1 GB is kinda minimum. also make sure you have enough shader cores rather then just looking for a cheap 512 MB card. 256 shader cores and up is kinda required too, to achieve manageable viewport performance.
