Motion tracing
Hi I'm new to using the Source Filmmaker and I wanted to ask if there is a way to do motion tracing on SFM. Like you can on MMD. Bring in a clip of something and follow the motion with the model. Please and thank you.

like as in throw in a video into sfm as reference? you can't do that unfortunately, most people just use multiple monitors or size their sfm window and ref video

The way you want to do this? No.

I guess you COULD technically modify a flat plane to have a gif of something you want over it.. and then use that?.. maybe?.. i am a little out of my league on this one.

I've seen some (Valve and a couple of others) use motion capture in SFM, so I'd have to think that there probably IS a way to do this as well.
Unfortunately, I'm like you, I'd love to know if this is possible...

but theres nothing really properly inbuilt in sfm to import videos for reference like what maya would have, motion capture is pretty easy because of how the importing works.

Yeah, and now I'm wondering if there's a way to mocap a video and THEN use it in SFM, just like the 'regular' mocap process... lol
