It's staggeringly easy to make one. Create a small white 8x8 texture in any graphics editor, then use VTFedit (or a VTF plugin for a program like Photoshop or GIMP) to convert it to Valve's VTF format.
Install it somewhere within SFM's materials folders*, then point to that with your material override or VMT.

* I keep one simply at materials/DMF/white_square.vtf, DMF being my initials. (Alas, my real name is not quite as cool as "Marco Skoll").

For some things, that's not even necessary. If you just need a completely white material then that can be done by omitting a $basetexture entirely and just using a $color command in the VMT.

oh, okay! i actually found another solution where you could just put $basetexture into the int attribute, whiting out the texture

but i'll definitely try out this method, thank you!

Ah, so you're looking to use override materials then?

Yeah, you can add a $basetexture attribute of any type other than string, though tht has the effect of witing out every instance of the affected material, on even other models in other shots, until the session is restarted.

Other than that, you can either create your own as Marco suggested, or use one that's already in SFM. The best one I know of is cable/pure_white.vtf, in the tf mod, but contrary to its name it's actually slightly bluish.

i dont understand a word that was just said ;-;

Aren't you trying to change a model's texture via override materials? That's what I got from what you said.

Right. Well, it's as you said, adding an integer attribute called $basetexture to the material will make it turn white. I was just pointing out that any type other than string will work, not just int. Then I named an example of a white texture that I know will be availabe in your SFM installation.

Oh right! Sorry, I sort of skimmed through that since I'm tired af ;;

Or you could go to the "element viewer" "add attribute" and add a "color" called "$basetexture"
it completely changes the model to a white texture

Though it's many years ago, thank you for this texture. I hope you are doing well
