From what I understand, some of the cosmetics have to be loaded in as a normal model, you might try that approach...

I'm going to assume that Capt Fuzzy means that you have to manually update SFM, because, getting anything that has a grade to it (Whether that would be Mercenary or Elite) can only be done by manually updating SFM.

Retro made a video on updating SFM manually, you can find it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbfQ5_6kyuM

It really is a pain in the backside to do, considering Valve rarely update the content in SFM, people have to do it manually.

Once you've manually updated SFM, just use this guide to find your items

Hopefully this helps :)

I'm going to assume you mean the guide for finding items, if so, do the following:
Right click in the animation set editor
Click on "Create animation set for new model"
And then set your mods at the top to be "TF" when looking for cosmetics
Then search for the cosmetic/s you want.

Some or most cosmetics don't work that way, try spawning it manually like you always do to spawn things like the tf2 characters or props or whatever sort of models.

In what way it doesn't work? Invisible?
Aidan May 10, 2017 @ 7:56am
it's not showing up in the list

When I mean spawning them manually, I'm referring to add model to animationset, type the name of the cosmetic from the list provided and then spawn it.
