Is there a way to make a ambient light for the whole map?
everytime I make the scene a little bit larger, the spotlight cannot cover up the whole scene. If I use more than 1, the light will be weird and inconvenience.

Is there a way could be light up the whole map with one single light that WITH shadow?
The map light basically have no shadow so not fit at all.

The short answer: No. (The long answer is just "unfortunately not", sadly.)

Nope. But hey, it's film, so you can fine tune multiple lights with respect to your camera.

depends on the size of the map, the skysbox height and the angle of the light. just position the light outside and move the frustum inside of the skybox.

or you gotta hammer the stage.

Actually, there IS a way to do what you are asking
Try this tutorial, just adapt it to your needs:

Can't hammer shadows.

you can hammer lightmap shadows. and ambient (cube) shadows. they are not very precise tho. if more details are needed there's no way around using additional spotlights. ofc

That's not an ambient light that points in the very same direction throughout the entire map.

I assume you've already messed around with the Max distance and Attenuation sliders (particularly Constant and FarZ), including remapping them, if necessary?

I don't know why it wouldn't point in the same direction all the time, it points where you aim it, so as long as you don't move it, it should point the same direction all the time... lol

The light isn't in exactly the same direction throughout the map, because it's not at an infinite (or effectively infinite*) distance.

*The sun is 150 million kilometres away. It's possible for something to be "left" or "right" of a light that's confined within a map in a way that isn't possible with the sun**, so the shadows will go in notably different directions.

** And while shadows do go in different directions if you're far enough apart on Earth, the effect is more down to the curvature of the earth than the difference in the angle from the sun's perspective.

@Marco Skoll - Your explanation makes perfect sense, but we are dealing with light within the confines of a finite area, and since this is true, there's going to be some "shadow shift" (for lack of a better word for it..), but having used this technique myself, the "shadow shift" is negligible if done correctly.
This is not a perfect example, it was the first time I tried this technique, but a pretty good illustration of what I'm saying:

The shadows are all basically pointing in the same direction...

Thank you that's exactly what I want!
