The guys who made the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rambo on rails shooter were able to get the Skynet license and then turned it and themselves into a very good 80s classic maker, mkaing Terminator Resistance and recently Robocop Rogue City

This is literally the "we have terminator at home" the game

Just because XYZ got the license doesn't mean these guys can afford it or even were given permission. Happens all the time.

Maybe the cost of the IP license was too much compared to the scale of their game's budget while fate is simply.. not liked well so I'm sure bumping its popularity helped sell the game to whoever owns Terminator now.

As someone who did not watch any Terminator film after Salvation how badly have they mangled the story that just the mention of "Dark Fate" has people disinterested in the game?

john connor dies in the first 5 minutes. the new "savior" is a petite mexican woman with 0 combat experience and shes the leader because she said "we should be fighting the machines not each other". they flat out say that sarah connor's only contribution was the fact she gave birth to john. the new "protector" cant protect you for longer than 5 minutes without passing out and will only wake up if you give her a drug cocktail. the new "terminator" would have killed its target, the new "protector" and sarah connor if it just waited 5 minutes for all 3 of them to drown but it decided to ♥♥♥♥ off at the last second for no reason. even though skynet is dead its still sending terminators back in time and the T-800 is sending sarah their coordinates while he plays house.

simple truth: its not possible to be a terminator fan and enjoy dark fate. every other terminator movie at least had 1 good idea, some degree of redeeming quality but dark fate has none.

Well there's already been a lot of content and work around skynet's story thats already been established. There hasn't been that much exploration around Legion which I think is the reason why they went for Dark Fate - so they're not limited creatively and the timeline is still somewhat of a blank canvas which I think is a smart move.

Guys, the dark fate movie was trash. We all know that. But this game is simply using that universe and that's all. I was like you at first.

Deadly robots? There are
Pew pew weapons? There are
Decently written characters? There are
Feeling of despair when fighting horde of robots? It's there
There are also a spoiler unit that I don't want to reveal, but all I can say that if you refuse to try the game because it has d*rk fate in its name, you're missing bro
