You can play this locally yes!

One person is the Monarch/Host and they select the Party Game Mode. They then get a Room code which the other local players (Nobles) can use at kotc.app to join on their phone/other device's Web Browser where they can vote along and follow the gameplay and schemes as the host progresses through the game

You do need at minimum four players, one to rule and three to be in each of the three factions in a given game.

LoL it isnt local then if friends need pc or phone too to get in game. Its online game.

This game is 3x better with this mode. Then you all congregate on Discord or wherever if you aren't all in the same room. It runs faster and better, especially since each person has their own phone app or browser to handle everything. But IF you can do it entirely in-person with a large group - it's even better. It's more like Jackbox and Kahoot had a child that's on your phone as it allows you to see and manage things much faster than just on a large TV. As well as keep actual voting hidden if need be.

True if need phone it's using either wifi or online so it's using networking unless you used Bluetooth phone connection as the way to send data to the game 🤔
