Hello, friends and players! We’ve got a big update for you that hopefully makes the game better.
It was only possible because of your excellent feedback and reports, and for that, we are truly thankful.
And again, please bear with us as we roll this out, and help us make Polylithic better by reporting any bugs or issues on our Discord[www.discord.gg]

Fixes

Fixed an issue that would degrade graphics performance over time
Javelins and Arrows now fall to the ground when animals despawn
Game no longer softlocks if you close the menu while loading
Various fixes and tweaks to the pause menu
Quest sequence acceptance has been streamlined
Fixed infinite item generation when restarting in certain circumstances
Localization tweaks
Fix the behaviors of houses when unloading chunks
Buildings and bed assignments are properly saved and loaded
Some unnecessary mechanics are hidden in the Prologue

The plan is to polish the new features in the upcoming minor updates and continue working on the new Fight system, the New Campaign Story, multiplayer, and sandbox improvements, to get ready for the 1.0 release. Do you have any cool ideas? Please let us know.

Issues with Happiness update (0.7.13.4)

Tried out the game for the first time, ran into a few issues. Not sure if some are known/old, but here they are: Assigned beds/houses issue I had extra 5 huts + beds and only 3 tribe members, but I had the mood debuff "not all members have assigned beds". When I checked my "Tribe" menu "Members" view, two of them said they don't have a bed assigned. This was on the first mission and the problem got worse as time passed. Eventually the "Members" view was telling me all 3 members had no house or bed...

New Happiness System & Tribe Overview (Beta)

Global Happiness System added – affects the entire tribe.
Food variety and surplus provide happiness boosts, rationing and scarcity cause drops.
Each tribe member needs a place to stay and a bed to sleep on
Housing Types: Stalk Cover, Hut, and House with different capacities and decoration support.
Decorations now boost happiness (varies by housing).
The decoration bonus applies only if people live in the house.
Luxury Foods (bread, milk, meat) give happiness boosts.
Tribe size now impacts happiness via a member penalty.
Envy system added – members may get unhappy if housed unequally.
Without proper food, housing, and decoration, happiness drops.
At low happiness, tribe members may leave.
Max sustainable tribe size (without issues): ~13 with full luxury setup.
Overloading on poor housing types leads to limited happiness.
New window for the tribe overview.
New window for resources overview.

The next step will be to add the positive and negative effects and balance the system more.

First Multiplayer Test!

We did our first multiplayer test today! 🎉 It's still a work in progress, but it’s already a blast (though sadly, my mic wasn’t recorded). If you want to help shape the future of Polylithic multiplayer and jump into beta testing with us, please let us know!

Help with understanding villager crafting tasks

Ok so I'm trying to get my villagers to make flint and javelins. My storage has all the raw materials for them. But when I assign it I get the icon that tells you they don't have the resources. And for example with the flint I gave the villager rocks and a chopper since I figure that's what's needed. However even with a stack of rocks and a chopper it's still telling me they lack resources. What's going on?...

Sandbox questions

I'm playing Sandbox but I've run into sort of a wall where I can't get anything more done. I captured a junglefowl but I can't figure out how to make a chicken coop. I crafted "trapping pit - camouflage" and "spikes" but I cannot figure out how to use them. I made normal trapping pits but can't add spikes or camouflage, and I can't seem to build them directly or from my hotbar. Can other animals be tamed? I tried dropping raw meat for wolves but they weren't interested. I saw a reference to cows in the ...
