Working at McDonalds drive-through
it's because of people like you though. People who undermine the reason why people are discontent and slander them. SBI is not the reason this game studio's game didn't do well. but working with them didn't help sure. but most people don't even know about SBI or there involvement, because most people aren't living on twitter. This games greatest mistake is an uninteresting Protag, an unremarkable desgin, terrible marketing (there was none), the gamplay itself is mid and ultimaly people don't see its value as equal to $40. I am betting most people who know about this game only know about it through the sbi issue. But as long as they just believe the game didn't do well, because there a black chick in it, or because of SBI they will never need to fix the actual issues.
you're arguing about a tiny ass consultancy firm made up of ex devs (one of many) that primarily work with independent game studios like they're a cabal of evil invading demons looking to erode culture or some bunk.
like, hell, they don't even do the consulting themselves that much, they just connect the devs with folks who can give them a broader spectrum of ideas to work with, which, you know, is a thing that's been happening in the background of game dev for decades now; they don't have much of hand in what the devs actually do; they never have done and they never will
Ya'll have got WAY too much energy for this, find something actually worth caring about instead of desperately trying pee all over the discussion threads of a tiny ass game weeks after release, comparing indi stuff to AAA to cover up the sheer neurotic nature of your conspiracy laden nonsense.
Why don't you actually give a damn about the stuff that is actually killing gaming, like the executive class buying up everything that isn't nailed down and then doing mass lay offs to rake in profits at the cost of people's lives.
like that is actually what's going to burn down your hobby, not this tiny ass game that appeals to weirdos like me
the game's not an amazing once in a life time event, it's weak in a bunch of areas, sure
but it's different, and I like it for that and wanna see what the devs can do with that energy in the future either in follow up content or future games, or future studios if they need to dissolve; that shouldn't be a controversy that attracts sweaty idiots like ya'll to natter about stuff that doesn't matter in a thread that no one but me will read
now either find something actually worth your time to do, or just go out and touch grass, for your own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sake
why are you here then?
there are hundreds THOUSANDS of 'mid' games released every year by people all around the world
why are you here pissing in this specific discussion thread over this particular game if you *haven't* been politically activated by the myth that a tiny ass consultancy firm is going to ruin gaming, cause if you don't believe that, there is literally nothing about this game that would necessitate you being here arguing that point; it is otherwise unremarkable and not worthy of the energy that you are giving it, you can not seriously expect me to believe that you are pissing your pants this hard in the discussion threads of the million other equally 'mid' games that are out there
rather than replying to this, if you genuinely believe this game is mid and you're not here because of that conspiracy crap, find something else to do and let me enjoy the game that I had fun with
This, basically. Peoples went mad with the new Assassin's Creed, but AC is boring and irrelevant since 2012. There is a ton of generic games like this, but one made the news... wew I wonder why.
It always the same, you give people the answer to thier problem and than they get mad at you for telling them. You ask what is the future of this game company, so let me be more direct. Not good, like a person drowning in a sinking ship. your emotion don't put food on there table, and bad game sells don't keep the lights on. At worst they made > 400k at best 800k not includeing refunds, this game probably cost somerwhere in the millions, which means they problably did make any real returns.
yeah I don't play the game because i didn't like the game. it is was bland and boring (a less interesting GOW, and I don't even care for that one), and i probably wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for the SBI thing. but this game is suffering the same way ZAU suffered. no one knows about it, how can you except a future when no one even knows that it exist. these games had like one or two showings in the game awards or summer games, and never showed thier face again till it was being sold. i didn't even realize this was the game when i haerd about its number issue, I thought it was the swamp bayou game. learning that ZAU didn't sell well should not be the way I remember that ZAU exist.
And this is a public disscusion board, not a wank circle, not everyone is going to agree with your likes, i can be were i want. You need to look beyond the twitter war brah.
