How to clear Straight Line Challenge?

Now I am at T-25, and have finished almost all of other challenge(except Gluttony and Sphere). My delta r upgrade(the first of z upgrade) has a level of 200,000. Z-reactor has been filled up (with level 49/44/39/44). However, I don't have any idea about how to clear the Straight Line Challenge, even for the first stage. After a little calculation, I find that it would take me roughly 2 million seconds to simply clear the first stage. Really got stuck.
I think if omega=0, then I can only increase k or delta r(%) to speed up. However how can I do that?

This is correct.

1. +2% k from Kappa
2. +40 k from Beta (preferably multiple nodes at once)
3. T prestiges for Δr and Δz bonuses
4. z1 upgrade and higher z for Δr increase
5. p12 upgrade to increase k to k^2
6. Reactor-R for Δr increase
7. Store, 1% upgrades to k up to 50% extra (waste of currency because you don't need k other than for this challenge, but it's there)
8. Sinkhole challenge for passive increase to Δr depending on time spent on single omega prestige
9. r12 upgrade to increase Δr depending on total amount of r-upgrades bought

I think that's mostly all of it or at least all of the important ones. First two tiers shouldn't be hard to complete if you farm some %k and k from Kappa and Beta, but last time I tried tier 3 (at T26) I failed miserably. Mostly I didn't have enough k to max p12 upgrade quickly so was stuck farming for more. Now I am focusing on farming more b from Beta and gaining k on the way, so will try 3rd tier again after increasing k 10x or something. It is much easier to farm it after you get significant speed increase from the 6th enemy.

I had 55K and +4.95K% bonus displayed on battle screen when I was able to complete first two tiers of the challenge without problems.

Update: 10. Reactor-L for temporary Δr increase after you activate 5x button.
Update2: 11. (another multiplier I missed) Poor Math challenge's reward seems to increase Δr based on a, b, c, d, e, f, g. Meaning that p10, p11, r7, r9, r10 and z5-11 become useful too. It's only ^1/11 bonus from each multiplier meaning that increasing it 10x will increase Δr by 23% only but still something to use in Straight Line challenge.

Hmm. A day of farming and five p12 later finally got third tier of the challenge completed.

Started with 55K and 4.95K%, finished with 439K and 12.7K%. Guess I will try the next tier too.

Finished 1st and 2nd aswell by now.
I were at 253K and 10.6K% already anyway, so it went faster than i thought it would take.

Are you farming Kappa to increase K and K%?

Close to T29 now, maybe i´ll try the 3rd one aswell afterwards.

Kappa for +2% k. 2% to level 500 for +1000%.
Beta for +120 or +160 k. Up to level 200 for 24k or 32k.
Just need to reset more often as I overshoot into 4-hit kills (due to crits) very quickly and then I am not sure when it becomes even worse.

Sometimes Beta for +8-9% b with any extra k that I can get at the same time. I noticed that b is much better for delta r than any other multiplier because it is much easier to increase and as a result affects delta r as b^2 at least (due to r11 upgrade where all other multipliers become irrelevant and only b/6*r11% is left). So I farm b sometimes as a side activity while doing this challenge.

4/5 seems impossible for now. Got 3/999 progress over night. Will reset once to get another 10x speed but other than that only farming left to increase the progress. And it is very hard to farm now (or should I say very slow). But will stick with it to see how long it will take. I expect a week or something.

x5 button was very useful in 3/5. Basically pressing it and waiting would advance my progress on the final stage by 10% each time. 100Dc before 5x becomes 4x.

While farming +2% k in Kappa I can clear 467 levels while one-shotting. So this gives me 467 levels with 10 nodes with 0.351 second per node=27minutes of one-shot time. If I one-shot I get 2050% k per hour. So basically I need to remember about this game every half hour and go refresh for the new +2% reward to keep farming efficient.

With my current delta p I need 8 hours for the next reset which will increase my income 12x or something. If I focus on farming 2% during this time I will also double my delta r because of it. So after the reset this evening in 5-6 hours I expect and extra 24x multiplier to my current delta r (90No). And then I will just stick with it without more resets. Will see how it actually goes. Will be interesting to see if predictions will be close or not at all.

Update: hmm. got to p-prestige about 1.5 hours earlier than a linear estimate. current delta r is 220No, so a little more than double which I planned to get. Delta r became 3.15Dc after p-prestige and buying all start of the run upgrades, also slightly more than I expected, not 12x, but 14.3x. Still, will need 3.6 days with such delta r to complete this tier of challenge. That is unless I farm some more multipliers. Well, I think 2 days will be enough to complete it.

Update2: 6 hours later it's done. Well, this was fast. 711K and 33.3K% for k at the end. Estimate was totally off because of 5x button that gives 156x income for few seconds. Going to try the final one as I want to see what the spiral design which is rewarded for challenge completion gives.

Cleared 5/5 finally. Took me three days for the final tier. Battles stats for k at the end are +1.81M and +48.6K% (for comparisson, I started 3/5 with 55K and 4.95K%). Got to 7th level in p12 which was the most important upgrade during the challenge.

The design which is rewarded must be bugged. There was Pi design which rewards Ω+20% passively and Ω+50% actively for a total of Ω+80%. Reward for this challenge is Ramen design which gives γ+1.2 passively and γ+50% actively. I think this passive bonus should have been 20% instead of +1.2 because this additive 1.2 is basically nothing for the stage when you can get this reward (I already have +5.63K from battle rewards).

I can't get +x k from Beta, only +x% k. Has an update changed the drops for Beta?

My P12 upgrade only goes to a maximum of 5 thus k^1.5 not 10 for k^2. Where/when does that get increased?

This was almost 2 years ago. Most likely there were some changes since then which reduced the cap for p12. I just loaded my game to check and yes, I also have 5/5 now and it displays "1->1.1 (+0.1)". This looks weird and I am not sure if that's how 5/5 bonus should look like. But anyway, I didn't play the game for at least a year, so things must have changed.

Similar to archmag, I quit back in 1.6.0 when p12 went to 10. Coming back to 2.5.0, p12 only goes to 5. This challenge is possibly more difficult these days? I'm not honestly sure if other values were changed as well. I know you can no longer get k from low level enemies (moved to the latest enemy, Alphabetician). Looking at the numbers in this thread as a reference, you can get significantly more k% from beta these days than you could back then though (looks like 20%~50% per reward as opposed to kappa's 2%). k in the r upgrades is also cheaper these days I believe.
