Is there crossplay?
I don't see any options in the menus and never seem to see any xbox players in my lobbies

Given this community? Most probably so people don't ♥♥♥♥♥ at people just for being on platform XYZ.

then why are players on other platforms allowed to see it?

crossplay doesn't work right, i am unable to invite any friends from xbox to my friends list in the game.....

a warning for anyone who is buying the game to play with friends.

I figured there was something like that going on. I even have my region set to "no preference" for matchmaking but still see a lot of the same people day after day

that wouldn't matter anyway since console players cant see chat at all.
