Is this casual-friendly?
I enjoyed Chivalry 1 until I got kicked out of the beginner playlist. I don't want to try-hard, the chaos is the fun.

It's a great game and casual friendly imo, the skill cap is pretty high but not too high. There are a lot of veteran players that you probably want to avoid or learn from at first, but the basics are pretty simple and the tutorial helps.

It's a game you can just play for fun and not worry about kills/deaths, though that doesn't stop people from being sweaty, as long as you aren't team killing too much noone's going to kick you for being new or casual

It can depend on your location and time zone as to what experience you will get with the players, but generally if the game is on sale that's a great time to start because the new player pool is bigger and you will have more people to learn with.

Not really. Poor map balance and team stacking to the attacking side from the thousand hour try-hards have pretty much driven out the majority of players from this game. Steam has been sitting at 2k players for years. Not to mention the developers stopped producing content and patches/bug fixes for this game as its officially "completed".

Some maps are unbalanced that's true. If you're here to see "victory" at the end , you might be frustrated.

But if you're here to have fun you're at the right place.
Find a character voice that has funny dialogue you like, and spam it while you play.

I personally like the Jovial Baker for Yellow (Sings tunes while enjoying the carnage), the Mercenary for Red (Yer mum jokes), and the Veteran Knight for Blue.

From there, just help wherever needed. Take note of the people that know what they're doing, and who doesn't. And Follow/avoid accordingly.
It is. Just avoid duels. Its much, much easier then Chiv1 and Mordhau and more fun. Spend 100+ hours in both game and i can assure you of that.
There are pubstomp ofc but dont leave the server, wait till next match. Every new match people get shuffeled around teams and somewhat equlised.
You could always just play as an archer, take those melee sweat's rules of engagement and throw it away, PEW, crossbow bolt to the liver.

There's like 60,000+ daily players accross all platforms and it is crossplay
team objective on highly populated servers is always fun cuz it's so chaotic. even try hards get overwhelmed by the chaos.

Try hards? Why even have a scoreboard, right? Challenge yourself to always be the best. its one hell of a rush. You should try. I play games to win and be the best. Why because I can actually get there.

As for the question of this game being for casuals or (newbies). It depends how you play. When I was new, I would constantly run away from harder players, and when the moment strikes, I would go back to that player and stab em in the back! Try to use a weapon that you can spam a lot with. For me it was the highland sword and overheads. I constantly would get top score just by doing that. When you notice them countering, RUN AWAY! There are elite players on the servers now. Had this game been more popular there would be a server for veterans and one for rookies. Sadly this isn't the case and us "try hards" have to be placed with people who are learning, which I don't mind them personally. We all have to learn someway! Oh and stick to one weapon and master it.

Yeah, i dont know what the devs were thinking by setting this game up where attack has such an advantage via spawn timers/locations. Thats why soooo many people switch to spectate then too attack when they get assigned to defense.
Hence why i started doing it, otherwise you get assigned to defense 8 matches in a row and get your teeth kicked in. No thanks

No it's not, it still has plenty of servers and I see lots of new people all the time.
