Third Person Perspective helps with conveyance of your attacks but hinders conveyance of enemy attacks. You'll hit less teammates because you see the full range of your swings. Somewhat better mob control since you can see more. Duels are harder but not significantly so. I find myself gambling/reading more than I'd like but that's the "only" downside to TPP.
It honestly feels like cheating when I'm in TPP rushing down FPPs in their blind spot. Then I get smoked by some nuanced combat and it balances out.
I absolutely agree.
What advantage?
You lose so much just so you can see 4 feet on your immediate left and right.
Exactly. It’s not hard to look around in 1st.
Or use your ears.
Even if you want to do insane drags or accells you’re only losing sight on the person you’re fighting for a split second. What options does your opponent have in that time? Basically nothing.
Predominately your fine control over dragging your weapon and footwork. You can do it so much easier in first. Not to mention in first you ain’t got yourself blocking your own view.
