What other weapon is there to use other than the Maul?
It's become my favorite weapon.

I'm kind of over running Vanguard. I like a sword and shield combo.
Talk me into using or trying another weapon!

I'm going to try sword n shield combo, FOOTMAN CLASS (for Aya lol) because I want to get some shield kills. :D

Dane Axe and Two-Handed Hammer.

Two-Handed Hammer isn't as strong as the Knight's Heavy Mace nor does it have the Maul's one-hit-kills, but is a grade above the one-handed maces that often occupy the secondary weapon slot, and the Dane Axe, while its main gimmick is being a single-shot throwing weapon, is admittedly a little strong in duelling when one remembers the Raider's intended role as a jack-of-all-trades, master of none.

Basically, you'll be better at duels than someone who isn't using the Longsword or Greatsword, and you'll be better at killing knights than a specialized duelling loadout

I was using the Polehammer at first, but then I switched over to the Dane Axe, which I never used.
I can see why people like the Dane Axe. It's fast and hurts. Plus you can hit everyone without a heavy attack. That's the only thing that makes it beat the Maul. lol Love the Maul

Feels like the Polehammer isn't strong enough. It could be because it's my first time using it, though. Need to give it more time.

I was using the Polehammer, under the Footman class, and I kept thinking it was weird that you would suggest it, since you hate the Footman.
I thought, Polehammer, you have to use two hands to use it, as opposed to the War Hammer, one hand.
Then I'm looking thru classes and there's an actual weapon called 2 handed hammer, under the Knight class. Then it all made sense!

I started using it and I like it. It's faster than the Maul but with less damage. Still fun to bash fools and it's Knight class, so I can survive longer.

Personally, I never understood the appeal of the 2h hammer on Knight since it's overall worse than the Heavy Mace, hence why I suggested its use on Vanguard on account of it still being stronger than the Mace and Morning Star, and the fact that you can also carry a Dane Axe or Messer alongside it.
