It's quite obvious. New players are easy to bully due to inexperience. If someone has plenty of experience with the game, they can bully new players without the victims having a chance to fight back on an equal level.
But anyone that goes out of their way to relentlessly curbstomp the same new player over and over and gloating about it, is hardly worth your time or respect. No matter how good they are.
Would probably not be a fun person to play games with in general, friend or otherwise.
Just play Team Modes, stick with your teammates (remember to use stabs, not slashes when there's friends nearby otherwise you'll get votekicked for team damage) and you'll get the hang of it pretty soon. Free-For-All/Duel servers should be avoided until you're a little more experienced.
