Is this game dead?

i got this game yesterday and played a few matches and it was super fun but now i can only find two servers that have a good amount of players and they are both duelyards what happened to all the players who were playing the modes?

In all honesty, the only things that would kill Chiv2 are Chiv3 actually releasing, and Bannerlord's multiplayer actually being being good

I know the game is on sale rn, but how active is it?

Is there a dedicated player base or is it practically dead out of sale?

1.3k Players online rn. Most of them are in the EU Servers. I'd say decently active just like Battlefield 1.

the game is active enough to where you'll see old and new players consistently while playing. i've been playing with friends for the past few weeks and the game never feels dead. however i have heard talks of the devs making Chiv 3 or something but not entirely sure.

The question is not how many players are there, but are YOU dedicated enough to put your whole life into this game? Otherwise you will uninstall at some point like I did. And I had 2:1 or even 3:1 KD sometimes. Not because I'm good at game tricks, but because I'm not a total noob and can position myself on a battlefield to get those kills. But at some point you will find those pro sweaters that will parry every attack from 3 players around them, even if they trying to kick or hit them, and that's it for you - game no longer be fun. Especially when you have 20 noobs on your side, and 20 pro players on opposite team that decided that it's a good balance, and having fun on your behalf. This game is full of toxic pro players, and if you don't plan to be one of them, then don't buy. Playerbase is not big enough and never will be to not meet them.

2.3k per day for Chivalry 2 - almost the same as 1year ago and 2year ago. Everyone who joined on the peaks - after free release on Epic or other sales fell off because of toxic pro players. Only core playerbase remains

1.5k per day for Mordhau. Same picture, peaks on free release or sales, then everyone fells off.

Mordhau died last year due to toxic pro players. Chivalry 2 died this year to the same reason. LoL and Dota alive and well for decades because they know what balance and matchmaking is and using some kind of ranking system. For Chivalry 2 devs it's even too hard to understand that 50-1 player should not be playing on that server on that team. But they decided that they rather have that one customer happy, and 50 noob customers be unhappy. They already paid for the game so who cares, right?

Chiv 3 won't be released anytime soon and I think there's even no plans to do that. They just released some PvE zombie survival game right now either as closed beta or as open beta, but it's not ready yet seeming from reviews. So few more years to finish that one, and maybe after that they will switch to Chiv 3.

yes devs don't care anymore and no mod support either
