mordhau controls?

mordhau has superior combat mechanics. lets just say that.
coming into chivalry, although mechanically inferior, its alot more fun due to its arcady and silly nature. me and my buddies each grabbed a chicken and ran laps around the map screaming. it was amazing
but im itching to have the combat mechanics of mordhau, namely the reticle attacks. in mordhau, the direction of ur swing would be determined by ur mouse movements. that would allow endless directions of attack. i could instantly do alternate attacks instead of having to hold ALT like in chiv. if i dont want the default right to left swing, but instead wanna do a left to right swing, i HAVE to hold ALT. its not a deal breaker but its very annoying.
so is it possible to change things around in the settings or whatnot to resemble mordhau?

You can change that in the control settings, that the swing direction is determined by mouse movement and not by alt.

OP, Look up the settings, you will find that button to disable alt :)

closest thing ive managed to find is attack direction determined by movement. its not the same thing but ill definitely give it a go. hopefully in the future the devs take some inspiration from mord. would love a game with the best of both worlds (chiv and mord)

Yes thats it, I also think it is not the same, but it perhaps fits better to you than the alt-version.

You don't want Mordhau controls in Chiv or Chiv 2 because Chiv and Chiv 2 have different mechanics. Slashes in Chiv and Chiv 2 do less damage than overheads, unlike Mordahu where there are only strikes and stabs. Direction also doesn't matter for Chiv 2's Counters, unlike Modhau's chambers.

Alt swings aren't annoying and work superiorly. I even use them specifically in Mordhau because of all the muscle memory of Chiv 1.
