I think what will help land your blocks is by pointing your crosshair at a weapon's contact point. Easier said than done since you can still get hit if you're a centimetre off
Most matches the top 3 players are cheating, capable of blocking attacks from all directions at all times even if they are about to be hit in the back of the head.
I thought this topic was going to be about how top players know how to strike your "blind sides" even while you're blocking.
Yeah, I don't buy the top players are cheating. It's very rare but when you come across one, they're teleporting like a doofus or moving extremely fast across the map doing nothing. The problem is they rarely ever do good enough to place top 3.
I'm Level 515 and I intentionally go after the best players at the top because everyone else is pretty much just swinging horizontallly and blocking. That's the only way you get better at this game, you get killed by the "gods" over and over again; slowly picking up their habits along the way until you finally get "good".
Should be able to still hit them in the back no problem.
Guy last night back blocked me two swings in a row. He was CLEARLY looking the other direction. My messer hit on the back of his neck, yet it made a sound like i hit the shield.
Would have needed too decap the guy to get to where my sword hit shield.
This was never a problem until TB decided to expand the parry box (that nobody complained about) i assume to make blocking easier for new players. Then they did an update to scale it back but it didnt 100% work as i still see lots of back blocks every battle.
However that large shield, it brings it right back to the way it was when TB first expanded the parry box.
