As an aside just want to remind everyone you can "counter" arrows that are mid air flying at you.
Shoutouts to Kingdom Come 2 for adding handgonnes. Gonna be awesome shooting some random bandit fully clad in plate as he runs out of the forest.
- A timeskip: would probably require Argon, Myah, and Malric to all die at the final battle of Trayan Citadel (no TO map outcome is canon). Anything that happens immediately after the Agatha/Mason/Tenosia war would be irrelevant, which should justify a new Chiv game taking place 100 or so years after the events of Chiv2.
- Sengoku era Japan: The supposed golden age of the Samurai. Black powder rifles were decently commonplace for archery units, though their poor accuracy and slow reloads still allowed for the Yumi bow to remain relevant in those times. It's also worth noting that even in the face of getting shot by a gun, the Samurai still wore heavy armor despite how easily a bullet can punch through it, which in turn would still allow the Knight class to exist.
Had Chivalry been my entry point to the medieval PVP genre, I'd probably be saying the same thing tbh.
The fact that the Highland Sword got buffed during the Fete-for-All update probably suggests that Torn Banner thinks that not enough people are playing archer.
