Does the game have a good player count?

It's on a good sale rn and I'm interested in getting it. I know theres crossplay but in your experience, is there a good amount of players? steamdb says 2k but thats only on steam, doubt it counts epic games.

It's been like this for years already and I've never had a problem finding a matchmaking game in central europe. 2-2.5k players are pretty much the baseline on weekdays, it's usually higher on weekend.

If you're into medieval MP slashers, Chiv 2 is the best option.

Not too hard as Mordhau and kind of fun. VA is still funny and decent, just like in Chiv 1.

Absolutely it is worth it. The skill ceiling is high, but there will reach a point where you get in a flow state, just sliding by the enemy blades, murdering people almost at will.

Chiv 2 Really Fell Off

Ever since Fete update, servers are really bad. Laggy, disconnecting. Before the update, they were quite good actually.

Duel servers are fraught with rdm now that they renamed them from "flourish to duel" to "social".

Who thought it was a good idea to make all social servers stuck on the SAME MAP FOR ALL TIME? Dear Lord, at least we had a rotation of THREE maps before this update. Now, we are stuck forever in duelyard hell.

There's so many QOL features they just left out and abandoned this game without mod support. Not even a map vote?

Used to be a really cool game. Now it's just disappointing.

I have over 2k hours in the game. I've seen one cheater and the way they have to cheat in this game. I killed the cheater and then sat in spectate for 20 minutes telling him he couldn't get revenge. It was actually quite satisfying.

The game is incredible. It's the best sword combat simulator other than Mordhau. You will feel like the hero's in all your favorite movies.
