Chiv2's been on Steam for the past 2 years and Bannerlord's still worse than installing the Epic Games Launcher. It's not so much that they don't care about Chiv2, but more that they've remained unchallenged in regards to making the best game at what it does, and at the fact that Chiv2 has reached end of life is more of TB making a bold, but ultimately correct assumption that their competition will never be good.
2. Is it actually skill based? I've been playing too many fighting games where you just memorize combos and win and whoever hits you first typically always wins. Not much fun imo.
3. Is the community still pretty strong? How long does it take to match-make?
4. Is it a decent community? Will I get a 45 year old no-life hunting me down for the next hour if I breath wrong?
5. Can you still win a game if your entire team sucks?
2. There's foot work, swing manipulation, target switching, and projectile aim to name a few skills a decent player has. Getting hit first usually isn't a death sentence, there's a few ways to get initiative back in a fight.
3. The game is cross-platform, and as far as I know, Chiv 2 gets relatively good amount of deals and free giveaways through Xbox game passes, PSN club stuff, etc. I get matches pretty fast, at least in NW America.
4. It's a video game where you fight other people, so it's a mixed bag as all online games are. It's a running trend that people hate archers, so there's that.
5. If people ain't playing the objective, then not even the best player could win a match themselves.
1. No.
2. No.
3. No.
4. No.
5. No.
2. Can you recover from having a bad team?
3. Is there a decent amount of replayability?
4. Is the community still active and decent? Will I be targeted for the entire game if I breath wrong?
I've already opened this discussion, but for some reason it got taken down. Don't know why.
2: no, you need to have an elite squad set up beforehand if you want to top score.
3: all 5 campaign passes last you about 160 hours. After that it's your skill alone that'll entertain you.
4: you will be targeted for whatever reason: you're too good, you're too bad, you're an archer, your profile is offensive to them.
Don't know about duel but normal TO and TDM maps are no "ballerina simulator". Just join and spill blood :)
After 1300 hours I can confidently say that is not a factor
Its worth the time. Just remember to avoid duels and only engage in team fights.
Map balance can suck ALOT but the gameplay can be very fun if played accordingly.
Teambalance is the same way.
Just remember – don't engage in duels. And if you DO want to duel, avoid fighting players that stand out with their cosmetics.
