Not at all, i've played both but i find Chivalry 2 more fun to play. The maps are better designed, the game modes are more fun, the combat and pacing is better imo. I also love the Chivalry community ingame.

I'm not going to trash talk Mordhau, because i enjoy this genre and i want both games to succeed. I think they're different enough to co-exist.

Maps are better designed insert *Montcrux*. This game was a lazy cash grab on Mordhau tbh, TB would have never made it without Mordhau and would have just stayed a dormant dead company. They used the guise of "Casual" to make it as lazy as possible. All you need to look at as far as a lazy standpoint goes is they force you to watch these dumbshlt cutscenes at the beginning of every map, but couldn't even be bothered to make anyone's mouth move. Add to that all the animations, gore, ect. looks like a remastered Chiv 1, which is to say it looks like dogshlt

Mordhau is a dead game with most of the player reviews coming from chatgpt bots. It's brimming with cheaters (Moderators and staff included), has no anti-cheat and they record your system hardware information (Who knows what else...). Devs constantly break things with updates and go against the wishes of players. Shortly after ten cent purchased a share of triternion, hundreds of player-bots with steam accounts started appearing in our games and were instablocking and pulling all these weird moves, eventually players quit because they had enough. The review section of mordhau is filled with these bot reviews that suddenly appeared after tencents arrival.

The devs ban players who have legitimate criticisms or those who try to curb the trolling on Official invasion/frontline servers. Triternion hired a known troll as moderator in OCE region who was known cherry picking screenshots of chat to have certain people banned and generally just causing issues amongst the players. This is the reason why the OCE community in mordhau is DEAD and never coming back, because of this one sociopath named Fray. There is literally no good reason to play mordhau anymore. Chiv looks better, has less trolls/idiots (as the devs here don't actively encourage those playstyle), has actual anti-cheat, active player base.. let Mordhau die already, they had their chance and pissed it away in the wind.
