Why did this game "die" so quick? I remember the first one having like 15-20k players well beyond year of it releasing. Kinda off-putting and sad because I really liked the first one and doesn't make me even wanna buy this one.

I would of assume lack of content, questionable balancing, servers, not much to do, and being kinda broke being some of the reasons the game fell off quick.

Steam is only a fraction of the players. Consoles add a lot to the player count. Every time I've logged in no matter what time of day or night, there are always games found in a very short wait time. It's far from dead!

lol. the game didn't die. it's just your perception. the game is on several platforms and there are plenty of players. looking at steam numbers tells your nothing but who bought the game late on steam. it wasn't even available on steam for a long time. i own it on epic, steam and ps4.

They keep releasing patches that break the server side of things. Try playing with friends, 60% chance someone gets an error when you get in a server. Today we got in a match (minor fing miracle) part way through we all start rubber-banding and lost connection to host. This happened twice in a span of 30 minutes.

I will say that the community is killing itself off a bit. 64 player servers just end up with one team of half 150+ lvl accounts and other team average 30 lvl.... people just hate losing so much that they stack one team every game. it kills the new player experience a bit.

For me (Thailand) I get on about 10pm and usually a few 1v1 Korean servers and maybe only one other populated with about 4 people. Kinda sucks. Not having in game voice chat kinda makes it lonely too. I do enjoy the game still but it's hard to keep attached

ITs always like this before a big update. The last time before the update, people were saying this game is dead. Also the update before then. As long as the devs are updating this game with new content, it will never die.
