How long do mutes last?
Title, how long do they last? Part of this game's fun is engaging in chat with other people and I'd wager that, that is more fun than the game itself.
If it's forever then I might as well look into chargebacks and buy a better game :lobster:

In your case since this was not your first mute and you used multiple racial slurs the duration is longer than someone who was only receiving their first mute.

Be advised that mutes will get longer the more you receive.

it really depends on what you said and how offensive it was... i don't know how they measure it, but usually you get 1-2 warnings before it goes permanent in which case you need to appeal to their discord directly and make your case for why they should give you another chance.
sometimes they're willing to approve the appeal and sometimes not. it really depends on which person handles your case and how convincing your appeal is.

Bruh I just got muted today too for no reason, wtf? I think TB is just handing them out to anybody.

I didn't even get a warning or anything just muted all of a sudden after having fun last night not muted. Oh well time to give up on this game if they're really that pathetic and anti free speech.

Will be updating my review to not recommended and advising people to avoid a dev team that mutes people on a whim with no warning whatsoever.

No mercy for cheaters and offenders means "if you cheat, you should be banned forever; if you offend, you should be muted forever". It doesn't mean muting cheaters.

So, by your logic, when people are playing GTA, they could be racist, homophobic, antissemitic etc. against anyone in the server? You're not an actor in the chat. You're not role-playing. You're offending real people with real offenses. That's why I hope you stay muted forever.

If you think actual criminal offenses are allowed in games just because they're games, YOU definitely shouldn't be playing, kid.
