So how do I get better at using this sword and also stop being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the game

Same as any weapon. Build muscle memory with Jabs on being flinched because it will beat 99% of players in this game outside duel servers. Counter every enemy attack into a Morph because it will beat 99% of players in this game outside of duel servers. Use Heavy Swings most of the time because that will beat 99% of players in this game outside of duel servers.

I know this applies to all one-handed weapons but in maps where you can use them, pick up a chicken and light it on fire. DO NOT throw it but rather treat it as an off-hand dagger that enhances your jab damage. Falchion in particular seems to be the best weapon to have for a spicy chicken combo

Morphing isn't in this game. You meant to say feint.

Morphs are in the game, Chiv 2 just incorrectly calls them Feints as well. A true Feint can be repeated multiple times as long as you have Stamina to do them, but a Morph can only be done once. Feints put you back at a neutral position, enabling Feint to Block, or Jab, or Kick. Morphs are committal as once you Morph, you cannot Feint it or cancel it, and are also faster than Feints. You cannot Morph a stab into a stab, or a swing into a swing, but you can with Feints. These are very important distinctions that necessitates them being called differently.

No, you're describing cancel attack. You can look in the options menu and see for yourself.

It does matter what Chivalry 2 calls them, because this is the Chivalry 2 forums. The terms that Chivalry 2 uses are the correct terms for Chivalry 2.

When you Morph in Chivalry 2, the game says "Feint" on the screen. When you Feint in Chvialry 2, the game says "Feint" on the screen. Therefore, the game is incorrect and misleading. I am not, and thus am right.

Morphing attacks as a concept predate Chiv 2, and are definitely in the game mechanically, even if they didn't call it that.

It's the most important concept to get past Counter happy opponents as stated, which allows you to exist for more than 5 seconds against someone moderately competent at the game.

Hello, Mixu. Thanks for writing in. While it's true that you can switch from a stab to a stab, the proper terminology is "feint", not "morph". Indeed, this is a key difference between feints and morphs, as you can not morph attacks into the same type of attack.
