Usually these options are optional. If you don't want voice chat or text chat then turn it off. But just removing voice chat is...a strange decision, a decision which more seem to be making lately.
If someone is going to say something bad, then everyone that has text chat on is going to see it. And again if someone is yelling in your ear, then just add a option to turn them off using the scoreboard system in the game.
imagine wanting to here low quality verbal over a cheap mic from some mouth breather , the sound of someone munching cheetos, dogs barking, kids crying parents shouting at thier kids and everything else of value and worth that gets shared over these setups when they exist.
now look ive travelled and im not judging im into some pretty off the beaten track ♥♥♥♥ myself, if you find someone shouting at you helps arrive at a certain state there are communities you can join where they are real good at it.
At least we have cross platform, probably the main thing that will keep the game alive in the future.
A casual melee slasher does not. I bet the average player age is <16 based on the amount of archers in the game. And the average mental age is even lower. It's just gonna be kids screeching and playing meme songs/mumble rap like in other casual games with VC.
If you wanna talk to someone, Discord provides a higher quality service for free.

Your buzzwords are not an argument. If it’s a feature that can be disabled then there’s absolutely no reason to argue against its implementation. I want to interact with human beings and not simply play against outsourced AI
Dunno man, seems like you are just unwilling to compromise. It's not like Tornbanner are forcing you to live in dungeon cell with no human contact. There's a discord, reddit, steam forums, pretty sure you can find like-minded edgelords there.
time, money , bandwidth , server load, duty of moderation theres 5.
i wasnt applauding its removal , no one is because it hasnt been removed, i wasnt even applauding its absence just surprised anyone wanted it and pointed out there are better places to go if you just enjoy being degraded .
