Transfer from Epic Games to Steam

I got this game in epic games when it came out. Always wanted achievements but don't want to have to purchase the game again to get them / restart my level and unlocks. Any way to transfer my ownership over to steam so that I can do achievements?

Unless torn banner is going to give people free keys for buying it on epic, I don't think that will ever happen.

Haha don't kid yourself. Not gonna happen. That would be consumer friendly but could and would also be abused by not so friendly consumers.

It's 2 different Platform and 2 different License. Your explanation is asking, "I have the game on Uplay, Origin or Console, can I get the game or Transfer to Steam without paying for that platform license?"

I just purchased MW2 on steam, and it also allows me to download it on battlenet/ps4/xbox
It's called cros-plat title. Was just asking if this game also had that feature.

Yeah I pre-ordered it early 2021. They made it sound like it would never come out on steam when it released.

Hopefully, that would be nice. Having the trophies on steam would make it feel more accomplishing to me.

There are achievements on EGS, you dont have to buy the game on Steam to earn them.
You can use Shift + F3 in-game to also check them.

It's a bit like asking if you can transfer your Playstation games to Xbox. Not gonna happen, Epic is a competitor of Steam.

UNLESS the devs do it on their own volition, taking all the cost, which I guess could happen. It would be like giving all Epic users an extra key though.

It's not about that, I know that. This whole steam account is based on having 100% completion rate. That's usually quite the task for me. I'd rather grind that on steam then epic games. It's more to show off rather than self loathe.

Precisely. Although that still solves half my problem. As said above I just want to grind achievements on this steam account. It's the entire premise of this account. I wouldn't mind buying the game on sale if it meant I also got to keep my belongings from the epic games store. If it was cross-plat purchase like some modern games that would be the icing on the cake. But sometimes we just have to settle for the lesser better.
