A Riot Platform Fighter Was cancelled Because of THIS game.

This makes me SO damn sad to hear. They said in an interview that they looked at Multiversus and no longer thought their game that they had been working on would be successful. It had 70-80 people working on it.
This is just crazy. Platform fighters are generally more accessible and popular than traditional fighters, yet this hasn't stopped them from pouring everything into 2XKO. I am excited for that game, but MAN, a Riot Platform Fighter REALLY would have been the Smash killer.

Imagine:
-160 characters they can use
-Experience with a free to play Model and making it work
-THOUSANDS of skins they can make
-the quality and passion that Riot bring to their projects
-The Netcode would have been great.

Now we can only imagine what would have been.

THANKS A LOT MULTIVERSUS. Your failure discouraged an entire Dev team.

Eh platform fighters are pretty fun but I wouldn't install chinese spyware to play one so I'm glad Riot didn't get there first and we got this instead

chances are they were planning to monetize it the same as or very similar way to multiversus

After all if their old director can fail this hard having everything he needed why would riot bother. if they fired the guy it be a different story but no he(Tony) left Riot on his own.

Also the image shown was a beach party theme which looked very similar to the beach theme happening in multiversus now. Sad.

Having both would be great, but I'd much rather have had the 2022 version of Multiversus with all the iconic WB & DC Comics characters we got, rather than some unknown warrior/monster characters from League of Legends. Only other league players know or care who they are; I'm not one of them, but I will play "2KXO" or whatever. That cat girl looks great & fun to use; much better character than Felicia from Capcom.

which is dumb when the game launched with 150k players on steam alone when only what gutted the playerbase is the horrible netcode and the bugs that came from them only having a year to upgrade to the newest engine.
