Thoughts on the Blizzard Event?

I gotta say, I was kinda hyped for it but after doing it a handful of times it seems kinda bad.
I get they want you to grind and what not but unless you win you effectively waste 20 minutes of your time, then there's the resources you have to gather after the fact and you're on a timer.
If you leave you can't bring the resources with you either so if you get screwed over by bad event spawns you've basically wasted even more time.
And for what? some okay ish armor, a few skins and camos, and 2 weapons that should have just been in the barter menu to begin with?

I've played 5 games in blizzard mode and so far I still haven't been able to exchange the event items for anything, I'm still dying somehow, and he It is currently impossible to keep anything in a safe place to hope to exchange these items for an event object.

The Blizzard event is so hard to farm that I don't understand what this event is for other than trying hard and killing players. I think this event is very useless, I don't think I'm trying to do anything more related to it.

Ah, also, one thing that I understand even less, why did you leave the PVP active after the event? Add even more difficulty? Meeting hunters is great, add to that basic faction PVP, it's too much.

I cleared the event with enough points to earn a reward, cleared some minor events to get additional loot, then logged off. It's pretty boring honestly.

you defend it, then grind the barter items and and exchange them for items while on the map, you cant bring barter items back home.

theres a new npc at the bases were you can trade the bones

Never said I didn't understand what to do. I'm saying that the way they executed the event (in my opinion) is bad.

Agree, too much grind, too complicated.

This event was planet por the top players who can spend 24/7 playing and farming

There's a special vendor in base that u can excange the bones for cosmetics, cases and stuff.

Been enjoying it, only level 31 on battle pass. so I have does this even 30+ times now...

I had taken a break from the game, so I got 7 days premium and the battle pass and jumped in at the start.

Finished the quest line up to "Waiting" and have been fairly successful with my drops. The Skat-9 Variant, Icy Clothes, two Purple Scopes and a Purple Silencer. Hoarfrost Camo. Lots of Camo and trinkets.

Found a Frost Artifact. So thats cool.

My thoughts on it.

The event is interesting. Having 12+ at one location makes getting points hard and being defeated unlikely being below 10 guys at a point makes death entirely possible.

The Adepts need the ability to communicate, since they can't they don't swarm the weakest point making the game drag on. If all adepts focused on the weakest point in turn the battle would be harder for the Frost Fighters.

Its Taking time for players to get the swing of things but I would say the adepts need a close combat damage boost. They just arnt doing anything to anyone most the time.

Buying the fuzz ammo really helps increase damage.

The after fight is neat. Take a few adepts out and split to your side of the map. Sometimes the odds are in your teams favor, other times it not, other times its a fight. Having 4-5 adepts get wasted at the end and a faction favourable pool of players allows for extensive grinding afterwords. I got lucky once and found myself in sever 9 as last man standing. It was very profitable.

The trade Mats melting pissed me off at first but now i just look at it like, at the end of the match If i complete 1 of each objective i can buy an additional 2 boxes from the store, or 1 box plus armor and food. Ive had rounds end where my battle pass gives me 2 crates, I earn 1 extra crate from the points and turn in matts at the end ending me with 5 crates for maybe 10 minutes extra work at the end of the match.

The cold can be dealt with by combining your armour plates and food sources, the frost artifacts help too. I cant entirely fend the cold off yet but im pretty close the drain is small. Now I just need a team to try and take the crystals out.

Will probably actively grind to level 70 for the knife then just hope the twitch boxes pan out.

Over all I enjoy this event.

The changes to dailies and weeklies is just gravy on top.
