Me and my friend are trying to try this together, and he is stuck in #5 zones, while i'm stuck in #2 with no clear ways to join the same instance. Leaving the zone safe area out into the wilderness and returning doesn't seem to do anything either.
You need an easier way to actively join the same instance. Achievable easier by adding a button or something in the squad menu. Or, you could just add the ability to change instance on the map. Maybe in safe zones? Just something for us to be able to actually do this.
For anyone still confused: you can open the "Notifications" tab in your PDA and find the "Your squad is in another server" notification to swap to the proper instance after being invited. Notifications only appear about 5% of the time on the left side of my screen, so knowing to go into the PDA notifications to change server instance is kinda ridiculous. Put a 'move instance' button somewhere in your game like everyone else in the history of game development.
Would it surprise you it's still not a thing in 2024.
Instances are used to matchmake based on gear, if I,in full purples could just select an instance with newbies running in whites... that would be bad.
When joining the other guy, it could be that he is in a lower gear instance than you, so only he can join you, and not the other way around.
its all for balance.
