ive heard two different things on this game

first one is positive. its better than the previous spiderman game
second one is negative. its very short and overpriced.
ive never played it on console so im thinking about getting it on steam but those two things are lingering on my mind

It was like 45 bucks on ps4 and it was free ps5 upgrade. Has a 20 dollars upgrade to get ps5 version of spider man ps4.

It's not a bad game by all means but it was short. It was like a DLC basically. The character you play as,is likable with some cool powers but that's about what i liked and i disliked how the game lacked bosses and super short. It was 45 bucks because it just came out and i don't know what it's price is now on console but if it's going to be 60+ dollars or maybe 10 dollars extra (56 dollars) that is a rip off.

since it came out later than marvel's spiderman, there is a graphical upgrade (in a small degrees perhaps)?

i can tell you, spiderman remaster is worth every penny. Just get it.

Completely agree! SM Remastered was absolutely worth the price and I'll probably be playing it for a long time to come. Now, $50 for a game that you can beat in around 10-12 hours? Hell no, I don't care how good it is. I'd pay $20, tops. I'll get this later on when a sale hits.

It's not better than the original. The original was much longer and had significantly more variety in its missions. Whereas this one is much shorter and the story isn't as interesting. Part of it I didn't like was how despite the story advertising it was trying to make Miles stand out compared to Peter he never feels like a distinctly different or unique character. I just ended up wishing I could go back to playing as Peter when I finished it tbh.

The only thing I would say is a true + in this game over the previous one is that they didn't have the Mary Jane/Miles stealth segments. Those were easily the worst part of the original.

Spider-Man remastered was already too short for me. Also not enough bossfights. But a lot of timewasting sidequests. Combo system was pretty boring compared to older spider-man games. The only positive was the new graphics.

Eh. I enjoyed the story and the feel of the game was on point. Yeah, the sidequests were sidequests but if you think about it, being a superhero wouldn't be supercharged adrenaline pumping action every minute of the day in real life either. Someone has to rescue the cowardly cats from trees, find the lost puppy and help old people.

Both are true, it's really good, combat's better than the main game, but it's pretty expensive for such a contained experience.

Which is both a copout and makes sense, since PP is who is teaching him in this storyline.
