Why is the original more expensive?
Why is Spider-Man Remastered more expensive than this sequel? I figured it would be the other way around since the sequel is more recent.

The original has more content

the original is like 60 hours of content, this one is only like 20 hours. There's just straight up over double the stuff to do in the older one which is why it's more. This is less of a full game and more like a small connecting piece between remastered and the second one that's supposed to be coming out in 2023.

Ok thank you for the answers.

Like other said.. It's a much smaller game. However it's very much a full game. It takes around 30 hours to get 100%.. do all side missions and get all collectables.

The original will take you 70 hours to do 100%, but it also received 3 sizeable story DLCs on top of it which is included there.

Are you sure? "How Long to Beat" has it at 18 hours average to 100% completion, so has PSN Trophy sites.
A normal non 100% run is only about 7 hours.

I dont doubt your statement but wonder where you spend an additional 12 hours in the game.

Challenges. Bonus objectives. Achievements if you're going for them (those are optional but some people like doing them). Also this game requires a NG+ run to unlock some stuff unlike the first one. The first one only gave you achievements for NG+. This one actually gives you additional skills, suits, and suit mods.

Well take another look. The "average" in how long to beat is not the average time most people take. It's the calculation of hours in the other categories "rushed" "medium" and "leisure" added together and divided by 3.

My 100% took around 25 hours. Leisure play style in how long to beat is 30 hours.

I like to take my time and appreciate the game's details and look at stuff etc. Walk on ground level for a bit to see the city up close and whatnot.

Besides, PSN Trophy sites and "How long to beat" are simply wrong because this game needs at least 2 playthroughts to unlock all achievement as there is one to finish the game in NG+ as well as some other unlockables only possible in NG+ Completionist means also getting all achievements and those figures are only counting a single playthrough.

Yeah.. it's very much a full game.

My 25 hours to 100% was a single playthrough, mind you. I don't care about achievements, only 100% in game status.

Also, times will also vary tremendously depending on the difficulty level you're playing on.

Original has better Story, better optimization, better Spider-Man, 10 times more content....and is a better game in literally every other aspect.

FWIW it took me 19 hours to 100%, excluding new game+ stuff (and certainly not all achievements)

I'm not saying this game isn't shorter than the first (because it is), but it is quite a bit longer than 6 hours. It's more like 20-25.

The game is a lot shorter than the original it takes about 20 hours to 100% including NG+. Compared to the first game which takes around 50 hours to 100% including a NG+.

Took me 15.2 hours to 100% the main game, barring the 3 upgrades forced in NG+ which is just starting over and buying them.

Original is a bigger game with a lot more content. It's also a better game, IMO.

What? your hours are way off ^^ I 100% Miles Morales in 17hours which is very short imo. I don't remember how many hours it took me to 100% the first one, but def not 70hours
