Pre-load and global release times

Hey everyone!

We are happy to share that you can now pre-load Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on Steam. If you do so, yo can start the game right away the moment it launches.

The game launches globally on November 18 at 8:00 AM PST / 5:00 PM CET / 8:00 PM GST. Check out the infographic below for more time zones.

Does Steam ever even do preloading? I don't think any game I've ever bought on Steam had that enabled

Marvel's Spider-Man had preloading and one other game I pre-ordered in the past, I don't think it applies to all games though.

Gotcha, I don't remember Spider-Man having preload, but I had a lot going on that week haha. Would be nice if Miles Morales allowed it as well since I'm going out of town on the 17th and would have to rely on hotel wifi to download the game.

Yeah that's fair, I would be surprised if this didn't have a preload as well to be honest (I hope so since I have fairly crap internet lol)

Yeah that's fair, I would be surprised if this didn't have a preload as well to be honest (I hope so since I have fairly crap internet lol)

Mine is pretty good, I just don't have any faith in hotel wifi, so I hope it's got pre-load as well.

Literally every "major" game has preload on steam, since 2006 ca.
Anyway, answering to the discussion yes, steam will enable preload 48h prior release. I don't have any source but this is what the platform does for every game

Gotham Knights didn't have preload, and I'd consider that a major game release, so no, not every "major" game release enables preload 48 hours prior to release.

not even just Gotham Knights, all WB games are like this since Lego Star Wars TSS was aswell :p I'm imagining Suicide Squad KTJL won't have a predownload either

About preload

the preload will probably be 2 days before the release mainly because thats how most AAA titles launch
for example uncharted releasing for pc and the previous spiderman both got their preload's 2 days before the national release so i hope yall understand it
