Very telling that the only reason you can fathom for a character not being white is a "woke thing".

He was made so the author's son could Identify with spider-man. The only problem I have with miles as spider-man, Is that he act's way to similar to Peter spider-man. I'd probably like him more if they fixed it.

What I understand from this thread is this: You dislike Miles because he is a black version of Spider-Man. He doesn't replace, kill or get rid of Peter in any way, you just dislike him for even existing.

You're a racist, and you think calling everyone who does like Miles a racist as a sort of 'get out of jail free card' but I see through your ruse. You don't like him because he is black, you're a racist.

I don't like him because he's black, just like I don't like Peter because he is white. I like Miles because he is funny and cool, I like Miles because he looks up to Peter and gives Peter the opportunity to take on a mentoring role.

It's endearing and sweet, a nice story, and race really doesn't come into it unless you actually are a racist.

Miles is an original character from the comic that's been around for over a decade now. Calling Miles a black-washed version of spider-man is the most brain dead take ive seen by dumb “get woke, go broke” folks like you. Miles oozes so much personality & Brooklyn culture in this game and its such a fresh take on the million versions of peter we get in the media.

Make him Another animal man with no relationship with PP and then you can say that character is original.

Also the logic, this character is original because it has been around for a decade while the ORIGINAL was for 6 decades.

By the logic from above PP is "even more original" that the original MM.

So guys I bought the game and playing as Miles feels so good. It's actually way more fun and responsive than when I was playing as Peter in the last game.

+His voice lines are super cute because he's just so sweet. Hearing him trying to make quips that are so bad and being like "this is why Pete gave a C- on the quip test" lmao.

The venom powers are actually great, so much more force behind his attacks too.

Now I've played the game, I'm gonna have to say Miles is cooler!

Pretty much. Miles Morales exists because you can't "reboot" a character who has been a cornerstone of pop culture for the last 60 years. But you can reinvent one. The easiest and most obvious way of doing this is by putting someone additional into the suit.

Notice I said "additional", because Miles and Peter both exist and both are Spider-Man, there is room for them both. Spider-Man in many ways is symbolic of New York, which is itself a melting pot of cultures, including black and Hispanic. Miles Morales works as Spider-Man because of this, he and Peter together represent New York as a whole pretty well. It also works because writers can revisit a less confident and more inexperienced Spidey, which wouldn't make sense with Peter after, you know, 6 decades of web-slinging.

This is why Miles Morales works, where people wouldn't for a second buy a "secondary" Superman or "additional" Batman. All it takes to be Spider-Man is to be bitten by the right spider.

I love the Spider Man game, I really wanted to play it, but I only have PC.... And I do hope that Spider Man 2 has Peter Parker again...... because I know I will get it for sure I do have Miles Morales too but from what I seen Peter Parker is Peter Parker.....
