The Batman Arkham series is 10x better than this game. I am trying to finish this game up and move on. After having played this slop, I am not buying any more Spider-man games from now on. The writing is the only decent thing about the game. Also, the web-slinging gets boring after a while and loses its luster.
I don't know how this game got such praise. Then again. most people have low standards, expectations, and tastes. It's easy to please the dregs/masses of society. People will like anything these days.
Though there is nothing worse I've played so far than the whole Yak part of GOWR. I'll take these garbage stealth missions over that any day of the week.
A trainer is neat for fast forward those boring missions.
But everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, deal-breakers, etc. I guess I've just had so much experience in stealth games that these just seem so cheap and cheesy, I didn't even think twice about them and did them zoned-out I guess. They are quite easy overall.
The most obvious stealth is MJ/Miles missions. I didn't mind them. But it's very rudimentary. Those are hallway missions, and AI is terrible.
Then there is the stealth with Spiderman. And this bad. Gameplay isn't made for it. And the game is scripted anyway, in the bases for example when you have only 3 guys left, they automatically see you, no matter what you do. So it's definitely not made for stealth.
He listed where it was frustrating because of the BAD design. There is a distinct difference here. The stealth missions are ez af and boring af. It does slow down the game to a grinding halt. These idiotic devs decided to make some design choices for this game. I mean, just look at the side activities ffs lol. So it comes to design more than the sake of difficulty alone.
Yes, I hate stealth mechanics with a burning passion. I haven't played a single game where the devs did this right. No matter what game, I always hated doing them. Doesn't have to be an Action Game like Spider-Man, it just super annoying no matter what. I just don't like sneaking around, it's just a lazy ass game design choice.
