Performance Degradation
Does anyone else have any performance issues where the game runs awfully the more you play? It normally happens after I complete a mission and go back to the city.

This has happened to me, the game played above 60fps even when I was web swinging, but nowadays I can barely get 60fps. It’s really frustrating that I spent $60 on this game, only for it to have performance degradation and stuttering issues.
That's most likely caused by insufficient VRAM usage. Thus, try lowering down Texture and Shadow quality.

I don't think its vram i have a 3070 and im only playing on very high textures and high shadows at 1080p but you could be right ill try to change the settings
4k on a 3090. I see an occasional dip after a mission ends, but it stabilizes to around 80-90fps after a minute or so

That sounds very strange

I’m not experiencing that problem at all
i have this issue too since the RT patch. I get perfect 4k60fps even at Times Square at night then after one cutscene back to the city it drops to 30fps. Even after i quit to main menu the spiderman on the main menu is running at 30fps.

I'm just gonna quit playing it it doesn't fix in a patch or too.

5900x, 3080Ti, 32gb ram

Nah.. 7700X + Stock OCed 6950XT, 32 gigs of DDR5 6600 and im getting 60-130FPS with all settings maxed including very high ray tracing @ 3440x1440 so AMD has nothing to do with it..

You do know that even tho the 12900K/KS is faster than the 5900X and 5950X the 12900K/KS just get’s too hot and pulls way too much power

So... its faster. So you agree with me
Ignoring the irrelevant bickering going on, i just wanted to update that i narrowed it down to the changes in DLSS. Turning this off or switching to FSR has helped maintain framerates.

Hope this helps the folks actually struggling with this.

same issue, aswell fps goes very well during fighting or mission but when i start web swinging it just drop to like 10, worst bit it render wont load sometimes and game basically pause every couple of swings
I reinstalled the game 1 month after the release of the game, and I notice from now on that I have a degradation of the frame rate, at the release of the game I precisely deactivated the ray tracing to avoid the memory leak (known by Nixxes) and I thus played during 48h without degradation of frame rate in 1440P ULTRA + DLAA.

But now having reinstalled the game, I notice huge problems where I go from 75-100 fps to 45 fps WTF?

my config : R5 3600 / RTX3070TI / 16 GB RAM 3200Mhz / SSD NVME

I know the game has a very bad CPU optimization (I see you guys with a 500-700$ CPU saying it's a good port), but that doesn't change the fact that on the August version the game was running well out of ray tracing, while on the October version the game is running badly.
I just did a driver reinstall (DDU then nvcleaninstall) and even tried going back a version. I am getting on average 30 - 40 less fps compared to before last game update. was previously floating around 100 - 119 fps with RTX and everything maxed out. very noticeable drop in performance.

r75800x 32gb ddr 3200 + 3080ti all running off of gen 4 nvme. oh and running at 1440p btw

This makes sense, I have a 12 gen i7 with a gtx1070, the game runs almost always at 60fps (1080p) with none of the issues mentioned above. I have everything set up at max. Ray tracing and dlss/fsr turned off though.
